Is there any truth in the old adage that "everyone has a book in them"?

Well we do, from the point we learn to order are ideas, to the moment our life book closes. Do we even lose our story when we pass away? I hope not, but it is probably best to write it all down, just in case.To be honest with you I’m not a natural blogger, perhaps there isn’t such a thing. Judging by what I read of other peoples, they are often very good in terms of content but can all seem a bit samey. I would love to do something different. So what I have decided is hardly original, but just possibly it is unusual in blogging.
I am going to rip passages, verbatim, out of the books I have reviewed. My review is in a word going to be opinionated by the authors themselves. If any authors feel the passages I choose misrepresent them then you will have to leave a comment.

Now I have decided that this blogging thing isn't going to be so much about me, I have suddenly become far more enthusiastic. I will be careful not to stuff spoilers in, as indeed I do my best to avoid when I review. In general these snippets will only be very short extracts aimed at being more targeted than Amazon’s , “Look Inside”.

I am going to start with a very short taster form The Cliffs of Portofino.
Oh! About the cow. This is like one I woke next to in "Another Space in Time". Come to think of it, I may as well give  myself a little shout just here, now. My excuse is that this will provide a little taster of what this odd blog is about.<Unusually, I awake feeling anything other than cosy. There is a chilly dampness around me as though, initially over-hot and sweaty, my skin has now cooled. As for my pillow! I prod about. It seems to have fallen to the floor, except that I cannot feel the edge from which it could have dropped. I am increasingly aware of an earthiness in my nostrils, and the noise of what I now unbelievably see is a munching cow. Somewhat alarmed, I am sitting up and staring at surroundings that are absolutely not our bedroom. The scene before me seems benign, even normal, but being totally unexpected is overwhelmingly frightening.>

Now I had better go and cut a bit of Karen Donahue's book, as I said I would.
